How to Play Matzati
Matzati is a fast-paced card game where players compete to find matching symbols between cards. Choose from these exciting game modes
Basic Game Modes

Classic Matzati
- Place two cards face-up in the center
- Players race to find and call out “Matzati!” when they spot a matching symbol
- Winner collects both cards
- Place two new cards and continue
- Game ends when all cards are collected – player with most cards wins

Mahir Tzofeh
(Quick Observer)
- Place one card face-up in center
- Deal remaining cards face-down to each player
- On “Go!”, players flip their top card
- First to spot and call a match between their card and center card places their card in center
- Continue with new center card
- Win by being first to place all your cards in center

David's Tower
- Give each player one face-down card
- Place remaining cards face-up as draw pile
- On “Go!”, players flip their cards
- Call “Matzati!” when you find a match with center card
- Winner takes center card and adds to their pile
- Continue until draw pile is empty
- Player with most cards wins
Learning Variations

Chevruta Matzati
(Team Learning)
- Divide into teams
- When team finds a match, they have 45 seconds to explain the symbol’s meaning
- Correct explanation = 2 points
- Incorrect explanation = 1 point, next team can steal
- Team with most points wins

Sipurim
(stories)
- Teams take turns finding matches
- For each match:
– Add symbol to ongoing story
– Say word in two languages
– Use in a simple sentence - Most creative story wins bonus points

Double Match
- Place 4 cards face-up
- Teams find TWO matching symbols
- Must name both symbols
- Create a sentence connecting both symbols
- Example: “star” + “tree” = “The star shines above the tree”

Mila Achat
(one word)
- One team member sees cards
- Gives one-word clues
- Team guesses matching symbol
- Points for correct matches
